Instructional Coach

I am so honored to be part of the Greenwood family! I received my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Weber State University in 2012 and taught first through fourth grade for 5 years before becoming an instructional coach. I have always loved connecting my students to nature and the world around them. I believe that the teacher's role should be to foster their students' curiosity, belief in themselves, connection to their communities, and show them that they can do more than they think possible. I believe that the philosophies of Greenwood and EL Education are strongly connected to my own, and I gain so much gratitude from having the opportunity to coach our teachers toward becoming the educators they always wanted to be.

I love traveling and venturing to new places (especially historic sites), reading a great book, listening to music, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with family. I feel fortunate every time I can visit a new place with the people I love. The connections that visiting historic sites can provide are magical, and contemplating the lives of the people who came before us is something I love to do. I look forward to a wonderful school year full of discovery and adventure!
